What is Project Joy 40?

The number forty is a sacred number and in the Bible, the number “forty” marks a moment of transformation beginning. We are a Christian centred company, and believe that true change comes into our life when we follow Wisdom from the Bible. It will also lead to our long term happiness.

A commitment to our next season in life that we are ready to begin living with clarity, peace and a determination to step into our purpose and calling in life.

Each day we focus on seven simple personal well-being and success habits which are:

  • Habit 1 – Move – The App will encourage you to do some form of exercise for most days, but you are in control of the length of time and the type of exercise.
  • Habit 2 – Quality In & Out – This is to consider improving your diet choices for the best quality and quantity you can, and then also commit to removing any unnecessary habits or lifestyle choices you know are not good for your body and mind. This could even be a chance for you to remove any distractions such as overconsumption of TV, Social media and types of entertainment. This is for you to define what would be the best quality of inputs to your life for your long term well-being.
  • Habit 3 – Learn & Grow – commit to learning a new skill for the time. We encourage you to learn about something that matters the most to you and use the time to develop your growth of knowledge in that area.  It could be that you use the time to read your Bible and pray for guidance for the day ahead.  This could be that you pick up a new language, learn a musical instrument, or simply start reading a book or reading a new subject that you have always been interested in. The length of time each day dedicated to this is up to you though.  
  • Habit 4 – Create – We ask you to create something tangible each day that is new or you are adding to. This could be you decide to take up a creative art for the challenge and each day produce something, or you could even think about learning new cooking and eating skills. The choice is yours!
  • Habit 5 – Give – The Biblical principle and commandment to give and be generous is part of our business and personal leadership culture. We believe strongly that the Bible suggests giving a minimum of 10% of every income to your church or good cause.  We challenge you in these forty days to allow God to prove this law and commandment to you, that He will meet any resource needs you have when you act in faith and give. In the challenge we would like you to test this principle for yourself and the promise that Malachi 3 verse 10 states to:

  • Habit 6 – Gratitude – The habit of giving Thanks to God and others will change your heart and outlook on the life you have already, being ready for God to bless you even more. We encourage you to pray, give thanks and give thanks to others daily as part of this challenge and see the difference in makes in your life.
  • Habit 7 – Rest – This final habit will be a shock to most taking part in the Challenge if you are used to physical or mental challenges set by most “Self-Help gurus”. We go against everything the world teaches that you must hussle hard every day, and encourage you to take one day a week as complete rest from exercise and work. Some call this a Sabbath, but the Bible calls this as resting for one day out of seven for our health and well-being benefits.

Make this part of your routine and you will see a huge difference in how you achieve more in other parts of your life too.
